Yasmine graduated from Albany State University with a B.S. in Secondary Education and served as an educator in the Atlanta Public for several years. After moving to Athens, she worked for Athens Bank and Trust and then Bank South. Yasmine worked locally at Ford Motor Credit Company, primarily in customer service, for 20 years. She is an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church West, formerly serving as Assistant Treasurer and currently serving on the Adult Usher Board. Yasmine has been married to Gregory Payne for over 25 years and they have two grown children. She has resided in the Athens area for more than 30 years.
